IIIThe fixed-fee co-pilot

The highest fixed fee
you can defend.

A custom agent trained on local salary data, your own comparable searches and the live 500+ firm benchmark — it turns a job description into a benchmarked salary, a fixed fee, and the written justification your client can read.

2From mandate to defended fee

Six steps. Every number earns its place.

From your documents to a defended, followed-up fee. The walkthrough above shows the references and the proposal on one screen.

The same engineered spine as our negotiation co-pilot: your data in, code-checked numbers out, and a person approving every send.

3Engineered against the usual failures

Four commitments, built in.

Step 2 · Grounding

No invented numbers

The most dangerous thing in a fee conversation is a confident, plausible, wrong number. Every figure in the case traces to a source you can open.

  • Salary estimate assembled from three named source layers
  • The arithmetic recomputed by code, independently of the AI
  • No comparable search? It says so — and argues from what it has
Step 2 · Definition

The whole salary definition, visible

Fixed-fee disputes are usually definition disputes in disguise. The co-pilot makes the definition explicit before the fee is ever discussed.

  • Base, bonus, benefits — every component itemised in the estimate
  • Your client sees what's in and what's out, in writing
  • The breakdown ships with the proposal, not after the argument
Step 5 · Confidentiality

Client-safe by construction

The justification is built to be forwarded. What can't be shared can't leak into it.

  • Exports draw only on shareable or anonymised fields
  • Your other clients' names and fees never appear in anyone's document
  • Your data stays in your firm's workspace, and leaves with you
Steps 5–6 · Control

You approve; it learns

The co-pilot argues the case. Your partner makes the call — and every outcome makes the next case sharper.

  • Tweak the proposal in a chat; the justification updates with it
  • Nothing reaches a client without a consultant's yes
  • Accepted or countered, the result feeds your firm's history
4Fair questions

The questions we'd ask, answered.

We barely negotiate — fees here are fixed and stable. What's in this for us?
That's exactly the market this co-pilot is built for. When fees are fixed, the entire margin question is decided at the moment the number is set — usually by habit. The co-pilot doesn't make you negotiate more; it makes the number you set higher and better defended, mandate by mandate.
What if we have no history with a client, or no comparable search?
Then it says so. The case narrows to what can be evidenced — your policy, the market data, the role brief — and the missing layer is named rather than papered over. A justification that claims more than the data supports would fail its own checks before you ever saw it.
Could our fee data end up in another firm's justification?
No. Your workspace is yours alone; another firm's documents are assembled from their data and public or properly anonymised market data — never from your rows. The confidentiality rule is structural, not a policy promise: unshareable fields can't reach any export.
What does working with the fixed-fee co-pilot commit us to?
A back-test on mandates you've already closed, honest feedback, and — only if the back-test earns it — a set of live mandates priced with the co-pilot alongside your normal process. Commercials are discussed in person, and design partners get design-partner terms.

Let it price your last ten mandates first.
